Lincoln Theater will present its first annual Holiday Guitar Night featuring two extraordinary musicians, Eric Lugosch and Stephen Bennett, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 the theater.

National fingerpicking champion Eric Lugosch presents a truly original and inspirational show. There are no gimmicks or gadgets — just a genuinely gifted imagination and a fluency that comes from years of working on his craft.

Lugosch’s arrangements of traditional songs and jazz standards are now considered classics in picking circles, where he is also regarded as one of America’s best original fingerstyle composers, as well as a talented songwriter.

Stephen Bennett is an extraordinary musician, an acknowledged master of the harp guitar, a challenging teacher, a gifted composer and a performer of great sensitivity.

A national flat and fingerpicking champion, he has regularly performed around the United States and abroad, shared the stage with some of the finest guitarists in the world and created a body of work that is respected and loved in many places.

His 26th recording is due out this year – Tchaikovsky’s entire Nutcracker Ballet score, arranged for guitar orchestra.

Lugosch’s work is the product of both mind and heart, intellectually challenging and emotionally satisfying — and it is deeply personal, even as it is universal.

In a concert suitable for the entire family, free admission is offered to youths 18 and younger while adult tickets are $22; $20 for Lincoln Theater members).
