Topsham and Brunswick police departments welcomed new recruits after the Maine Criminal Justice Academy recently minted a crop of 50 new graduates.

The officers completed 18 weeks of study and training to win graduation at a ceremony last week, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said in a news release.

Locally, the officers are Garrett G. Brosnan, Shane M. Sullivan and William D. Brown IV, of Brunswick; Joseph S. Dyar, of the Cumberland County Sheriff ’s Office; and Mark A. McDonald, of Topsham.
