BATH

A 34-year-old Bath man was charged with domestic violence assault and operating under the influence Sunday night after police say he allegedly pulled a woman out of a car, threw her to the ground and kicked her repeatedly on High Street.

The suspect, Kristian Whitt, was released from the Bath police station on $140 bail, according to Bath Police Lt. Robert Savary.

Just before 10 p.m. Sunday, the woman reported to police that after an argument, Whitt stopped the car in which the pair were riding, dragged her out, threw her to the ground and kicked her repeatedly before driving off, Savary said.

The woman, 40 years old and also from Bath, suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and did not require medical treatment, according to Savary.

Police later located Whitt at the Front Street Public House and charged him. He is scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court on Jan. 21.
