BIDDEFORD — Kelly Coleman scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the University of New England extended its winning streak to seven games with a 69-47 women’s basketball victory Monday night.
Bates senior guard Meredith Kelly reached the 1,000-point mark for her career and finished with 24 points, but UNE (11-1) took control with an opening 12-4 run and built a 38-18 halftime lead.
The Bobcats (7-7) got no closer than 15 points in the second half.
Lauren Hayden added 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Nor’easters.
