Maine bowlers spotlighted on NESN candlepin show
Four young Mainers will be the focus of a half-hour candlepin bowling show that will be telecast at 5 p.m. Wednesdays on NESN for the next six weeks.
The 18 overall bowlers are divided into age groups for the telecast, with more than 100 competing in qualifying events for the past year to earn berths on the show.
Shannon Scribner, 16, of South Portland will compete for the Division 3 title. Cole Frey of Bangor will be in Division 2, and Jennah Ward and William Merrow of South Paris are in Division 1.
