SACO — Marguerite J. Fearon, 80, of Saco, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Monarch Center in Saco.

She was born Oct. 2, 1933 in Biddeford, a daughter of Eugene and Germaine (Descham-beault) Cote, and was educated at St. Joseph’s School and High School.

On June 2, 1951, she married Edmund L. Fearon at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.

She had worked at Maine Savings Bank, the medical offices of Drs. Carter Dillman and Michael Quigley, and later at Macy’s. She retired in 1990.

Marguerite had enjoyed travel with her family to such places as England, Austria, Ireland, Hawaii and California.

She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Joanne Foresman in 2013; and a brother, Paul Cote.

Surviving are: her husband of 62 years, Edmund Fearon of Saco; one son, Philip Fearon and his wife Brandi of Saco; five daughters, Leah Ross of Virginia, Patricia Quessy and her husband Jean Guy of Naples, Fla., Lynne Belanger and her husband Lou and Claire Custeau and her husband Donald, all of Biddeford, and Robin Elsier and her husband Dominic of Limerick; one brother, Robert “Spike” Cote of Saco; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church, Parish of the Good Shepherd, in Saco. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
