SANFORD — Sanford police said two more possible rape victims have come forward since the department announced the arrest of 32-year-old Zachary Garrison of Sanford on a charge of gross sexual assault.
Since the announcement was made Wednesday, Detective Cpl. Sarah Roberts said, two women contacted the police department with allegations that Garrison raped them.
Garrison had not been charged with any additional counts by Thursday afternoon.
Roberts could not specify when the alleged assaults took place or how old the women might have been at the time.
Garrison, of 2 Manor Circle, is being held at the York County Jail in Alfred on $15,000 cash bail.
Roberts said police believe there could be more victims in addition to the three women who have come forward. Police are encouraging victims or anyone with information to contact them at 324-9170.
