A Caribou man was arrested Friday for trafficking in methamphetamine after an illegal drug-making operation was found at his home.

Keith Tingley Jr., 47, was charged with operating a meth lab in a crawl space under his mobile home at Old Washburn Road.

Maine State Police said they discovered a methamphetamine lab while searching the home during an unrelated investigation.

Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents then obtained a separate warrant to search the home for the illegal drug lab. Police said agents seized a significant amount of evidence during the search.

Tingley was released Saturday from Aroostook County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.

Police said this was the 10th time this year that the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has responded to a methamphetamine lab incident.
