A water main break is affecting several homes in a neighborhood off Washington Avenue.

The break occurred in the vicinity of 45 Florida Ave, according Michelle Clements, spokesperson for the Portland Water District.

Traffic along Washington Avenue is moving normally, but water service to four homes has been affected, Clements said.

Service is expect to be restore by 5:00 p.m. today. It is a 2 inch main. The break was reported around 8 a.m. this morning, Clements said.
