Seeing the letter today from the reader in Westbrook reminded me to once again thank the Saco City Council for enacting – and the Saco Police Department for enforcing – the city’s ban on fireworks within Saco.
This action has improved the safety and increased the enjoyment of Saco citizens especially as we celebrate the wonderful Fourth of July holiday. Our babies, working people and older residents can get their rest. Our children are less likely to be injured or burned. Our pets don’t need to cower under the beds. And our homes, property and beaches are more protected.
Thank you very much for making our city just that much better.
