I am writing in response to Donald Renn’s July 30 letter to the editor urging Eliot Cutler to wait until “the next round” to run for governor.
I personally do not believe the state of Maine can afford to wait another four years for a better leader. I was baffled that Mr. Renn would admit Eliot is the best candidate but choose to vote for Mike Michaud just so Paul LePage doesn’t win.
It seems careless to me that people are so willing to settle for one mediocre candidate over another, especially when there is a better option.
So, as an independent voter myself, I am voting for Eliot Cutler because I believe he is the best candidate for governor.
