Since moving to Maine in May, I have become more wary when walking our two dogs. This summer, a visiting relative had her heels nipped at by an unleashed dog at Willard Beach, and our leashed dogs have been charged at by two dogs on the Greenbelt under “voice control.”
When we walk our dogs, we know that a leashed dog will be under the control of its owner. I can’t say the same anymore about dogs that are off leash.
