Students at St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick collected 267 pairs of footwear, as well as school supplies, for children at Mbabaali Memorial Nursery and Primary School in Kampala, Uganda. Parasites in the soil that can infect feet, and without shoes the children are not allowed to attend school, which has mostly AIDS orphans. Operation Mbabaali began in September and ended on Halloween. The items will be sent in a medical transport that should arrive in early January.
