“Hour of Power,” 7 p.m., Ignite, a new Catholic young adult ministry group in Portland, will host Bishop Robert Deeley in the chapel at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. “Follow What Star?” 6 p.m., interactive entertainment with madrigal and meal in the tradition of a medieval feast. The meal includes soups, breads, salads and figgy pudding. Tickets are $10. Meditation classes and practice begins this week at noon Wednesdays and at 7 p.m. Thursdays with Buddhist teacher Clare Morin. Saturday classes will be held in January with Buddhist teacher Dana Manel Javis The cost varies from free to $10, depending on the program. Sessions are held at Practice, 482 Congress St., Portland.
