TOPSHAM — A 31-1 second half for the Brunswick High School girls jayvee orange team was more than enough to capture a victory in Saturday’s contest at Mt. Ararat High School.

Brunswick jumped out to an early 18-4 first quarter lead, using high-pressure defense to create multiple transition baskets. Brooke Barter of Brunswick led all players with 15 points, with Aidan Sachs, Sabrina Armstrong and Brianna Newton adding 10 points each.

Barter, Newton and Heather Kinee led the defensive efforts, with Barter picking up five steals in the game. Margaret Dickinson and Sachs collected eight rebounds a piece.
