FREEPORT — The Freeport High School girls jayvee basketball squad jumped out to a 13-3 lead after the first quarter, but Traip Academy battled back to capture a 44-31 victory.

Falcons Tatum Erlandson led the hosts with seven points, while teammates

Brooklyn Washburn and Jessi Driscoll contributed six points apiece. Isabel Peredy (3 points) and Carole Haener hauled down five rebounds.

Traip was led by Sarah O’Brien with 10 points. Brittany Mann was noted as a defensive standout for Freeport. The Falcons converted 14-of-31 free throws, while the Rangers dropped 9-of-36.
