A Kennebunk man who had been sought for more than a week on charges of aggravated criminal threatening has turned himself in.

William C. Day, 40 of Fletcher Street, turned himself in to Biddeford police early Tuesday morning. He is being held on $5,000 bail.

Day was wanted on a domestic violence criminal threatening charge after allegedly threatening a member of his family with a knife.

Police expressed thanks to the public for calling in sightings of Day and also thanked the Saco and Biddeford police as well as the Maine Violent Offenders Task Force for help in the investigation.
