PORTLAND — Fiscal year 2016 municipal and school budgets will move forward in the City Council next week.
On Monday, April 6, the City Council will receive the municipal budget from acting City Manager Sheila Hill-Christian, and hold a first reading on the $18.7 million capital improvements budget. The council municipal budget vote is scheduled for May 18.
The $102.8 million school budget will be discussed Thursday, April 9, at 6 p.m. by the City Council Finance Committee. A budget referendum is scheduled May 12.
