Two people were taken by ambulance to Maine Medical Center on Tuesday after their car crashed into an office building on Congress Street.

Portland police Lt. Robert Doherty said the car hit the building in the 930 block of Congress Street around 3:30 p.m. The driver and a passenger were taken to Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured. Their names were unavailable.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The office building is between Maine Medical Center and the Greyhound Bus Terminal, near the intersection of Congress and St. John streets.
