The State Fire Marshal’s Office has charged a Woodstock man with setting fire to two seasonal homes on his road which did a combined $500,000 in damage.

Jordan Caldwell, 19, of Gore Road was arrested Saturday afternoon by State Fire Marshal’s Investigator Danny Young who charged him with two counts of arson.

Caldwell was taken to Oxford County Jail and was expected to make an initial court appearance Monday.

Caldwell broke into 245 Gore Road on March 26 and after stealing some items, set fire to it, authorities said. The building burned to the ground.

On Friday, Caldwell broke into 255 Gore Road, stole items and set fire to it, authorities said. That building was gutted by fire and probably will have to be torn down.

Caldwell lives with his parents a short distance from both houses that burned.
