LISBON FALLS – Police in Maine are investigating a drowning near a hydroelectric power station in Lisbon Falls.
WCSH-TV reported that police have identified the victim as 52-year-old Peter Bickford of Lewiston. Police say the drowning happened near Worumbo Hydro Dam.
Police say workers at the dam discovered a body in the downstream fishway gates on Thursday.
An autopsy determined the cause of death as drowning.
Libson police and state police are investigating the death.
