A group of Bath Iron Works maintenance employees are splitting a $3 million lottery ticket, the Maine State Lottery said Friday.

The group of 14 co-workers usually play Powerball, but chose to add the Mega Millions game to this week’s routine, including an optional $1 multiplier.

It was a fruitful choice. The $1 million ticket was tripled, and now each of the winners will take home $214,285 before taxes.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Cumberland Farms store in Woolwich.

The group, known as “Harding’s Maintenance Crew,” includes Jeremy Holt of Montville, Brian Swanson of Georgetown, Daniel Totorella of Waterville, Christopher Frank of Bowdoinham, Gregory Corrow of Lisbon Falls, Albion Wright of Sabattus, John Mott of Dresden, Gregory Frost of Poland, Michael Stacy of Woolwich, Stephen Scott of Tenants Harbor, Terry Wells of Randolph, Daniel Bisson of Harpswell, Eric Marquis of Lisbon Falls, and David LaPlante of Lewiston.
