MANCHESTER, N.H. — Sam Travis’ line single to center knocked in Manuel Margot in the 10th inning Wednesday night as the Portland Sea Dogs edged the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-3.

Portland leads the series after the teams split the first two games.

Travis started the scoring for the Sea Dogs (51-86) in the first inning when he singled to center to drive in Margot, who led off the game with a single to right.

Jorge Flores answered for the Fisher Cats (65-69) in the second, driving in Matt Newman from third. Flores was thrown out by Margot trying to stretch his hit to a double.

Portland regained the lead in the seventh when Keury de la Cruz homered to right-center, his ninth of the year.

David Chester followed the homer with a single and after a pair of walks to load the bases, Margot hit a sacrifice fly to right to make it 4-2.

But Portland reliever Kyle Kaminska surrendered a one-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to Shane Opitz.

Kyle Martin, who came on to get the last out of the ninth, picked up his second win of the season, pitching a scoreless 10th by leaving the bases loaded.
