Mayor Michael Brennan is a leader who gets things done.

He fought for (and won) continued funding so that our city could help refugees and asylum-seekers.

He went toe to toe with Gov. LePage on this issue while working with a coalition of community and legislative leadership to make this happen.

Mayor Brennan also made sure that raising the minimum wage in Portland was a top priority of his first term.

Of course, there will always be critics and haters out there who want to throw stones from the sidelines. And not everyone will always agree with everything that every elected leader ever does.

But, as a city, we are very fortunate to have the sort of leader we have in Mayor Brennan.

He is focused on the things that matter most, he is tenacious in a fight for what’s right and he deserves our vote for another term.
