There are few issues in our political world that have broad support from both political parties. But one issue everyone seems to agree on is that there is too much money in politics.

Now is the time for us to come together to solve that problem. That’s why I am supporting Question 1 on November’s ballot.

Question 1 has broad support from a diverse range of Mainers like Republican state Sen. Roger Katz, former Democratic U.S. Sen. George Mitchell and independent U.S. Sen. Angus King.

It’s a step in the right direction that will limit the influence of money in our political process, increase transparency in elections and level the playing field so that everyone – regardless of how much money they have or how well connected they are – can have a voice in our democracy.

On Nov. 3, I urge Mainers to join me by voting “yes” on Question 1.
