A fire in a vacant building on Old Orchard Street caused significant damage to the structure Wednesday night, but no injuries were reported.

A dispatcher for the Old Orchard Beach Fire Department said crews from six towns responded to the fire at 29 Old Orchard St.

The fire, which was reported at 10:17 p.m., damaged the three-story building which houses businesses on the bottom floor and apartments on the top floors.

The fire, which was quickly brought under control, does not appear to be suspicious.
