Nearly 1,000 people lost electrical power in Scarborough after a car hit a utility pole late Friday night.
There were no injuries in the single-car crash, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Lincoln Avenue off Route 1, according to a police dispatcher.
Central Maine Power reported that 988 customers in Scarborough were without power as of 11 p.m.
