The Kennebunk Free Library is celebrating Winnie-the-Pooh Day on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 4 p.m. with children in grades K-5. The celebration will commemorate the birth of A.A. Milne on Jan. 18, 1882. Milne is the beloved author of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories which he created for his son, Christopher Robin. Students will learn about the real bear that inspired the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, hear one of Milne’s own stories and complete a craft project. Children are invited to bring a bear or stuffed animal for show and tell.
