The Youth Ice Fishing Derby at Lake Saint George State Park in Liberty has been postponed to Jan. 31. The event had been scheduled for Sunday.
The derby, hosted by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 1,000-acre Lake Saint George, located between Augusta and Belfast on Route 3. Admission is free for children 11 and younger or those over 65. The cost is $1.50 for those ages 12 to 64. Experienced ice fishermen will be available to offer instruction.
