The burglars, usually wearing masks, pried open doors or smashed windows to get into the stores. Police on Tuesday released security images of the people responsible for some of the burglaries.

The burglars stole cash and a large quantity of cigarettes from the following stores:

• Clipper Mart, 55 Riverside St., Monday.

• The Riverton Gas Station, 1585 Forest Ave., Sunday and Monday

• Jakes’ QuikStop, 205 Brighton Ave., Sunday
