A Waldoboro man faces charges of possessing child pornography after an investigation by the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit determined he had hundreds of sexually explicit pictures and videos of children, including children under 12.
Joel Harkins, 35, was arrested at his home at 78 Nash Road Thursday. He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.

Harkins’ first court appearance is set for Feb. 25.
