BRUNSWICK — Vaughn W. Taylor, age 93, died peacefully in his home, Monday February 8, 2016.

He was born January 8, 1923 in Lynn, MA a son of Curtis and Fern Collin Taylor. He was a graduate of Lynn English High School and of North Eastern University 1963. He served in the US Airforce during WWII. He married Janet M. Lebourdais in 1979.

Mr. Taylor was a chemist with Cabot Corporation for over 30 years. After retiring in 1985, he and his wife relocated to the Brunswick area, where he volunteered at Jordan Acres Elementary school, tutoring 5th grade Math.

His hobbies included bowling, reading, puzzles, and out of his love of people and children he found time to coach several youth sports.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Taylor; two sisters, Ailene Taylor and Frances Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Taylor; six sons, Alan and his wife Sandra Taylor of Raleigh, N.C, Paul and his wife Michelle Taylor of La Junta, CO, John and his wife Joan Taylor of Burke, VA, Greg Kellough and his wife Jillian Kellough of South Portland, Douglas B. Kellough of Chillicotte, OH, Michael Curley of Brunswick; a daughter, Debra Martin and her husband Ted of Augusta; a brother, Curtis Taylor of Lynchburg, Va.; three sister, Maude Fournier and her husband Jim of Rochester N.H., Betty Johnston and her husband Bob of Peabody, MA, Gloria Streeter and her husband Austin of Saugus, MA; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to visit 1-3pm Monday February 15, 2016 at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick, ME. A funeral service e will follow 3pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Gordon Cook officiating.
