Rebecca Gagnon scoops up a big dish of ice cream at Mainely Custard, which opened for the season at 150 U.S. Route 1 in Freeport on April 23. Gagnon, who has worked at Mainely Custard since she was 14, is now out of college. She and her parents, Lisa and Jim Gagnon of Pownal, took ownership of the business last July.
Sheridan Corp. has made great strides in the construction of a two-story addition to Freeport High School, part of a $14.6 million project at the school. The company began pouring concrete slabs late last week.
