HARPSWELL — This year’s June ballot includes a school budget decision, a local referendum, and no primary election contests.

School Administrative Unit 75 administrators unanimously endorsed a $37.6 million fiscal year 2017 budget May 12. That budget was scheduled to go to voters at a district budget meeting in Topsham May 26.

It must also be validated June 14 in budget referendums in Harpswell, Topsham, Bowdoin, and Bowdoinham.

Harpswell voters will also decide two local questions asking them to authorize the Board of Selectmen to resolve property line clarifications at the town’s Mackerel Cove property on Bailey Island.

Everett “Brownie” Carson, of Harpswell, is running unopposed for the Democratic nomination in state senate District 24, where Sen. Stan Gerzofsky, D-Brunswick, cannot seek re-election because of term limits.

Eric Lusk of Harpswell is unopposed for the Republican nomination in Senate District 24, which includes Brunswick, Freeport, Harpswell, North Yarmouth, and Pownal.

State Rep. Joyce “Jay” McCreight, D-Harpswell, is unchallenged in the Democratic primary in House District 51, where Jeffrey Slocum of Harpswell is unopposed for GOP nomination.

Polls open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, and close at 8 p.m.

Harpswell Neck and Mountain Road residents have a new polling place at Fellowship Hall at the Elijah Kellogg Church at 917 Harpswell Neck Road.

Orr’s and Bailey’s Island voters vote at the Old Orr’s Island Schoolhouse at 1594 Harpswell Islands Road.

Great Island voters vote at Cundy’s Harbor Community Building at 837 Cundy’s Harbor Road.
