A Biddeford man was sentenced Monday to five years in federal prison for managing a group of people who imported cocaine and oxycodone from Rhode Island to Maine.

Anthony Lacomb, 30, pleaded guilty in February to conspiracy to distribute the drugs. His prison term will be followed by three years of supervised release.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Lacomb managed a group of people who brought drugs to Maine from Rhode Island in 2014 and 2015. He was arrested in Scarborough in April 2015 after an undercover drug agent ordered both cocaine and oxycodone from him. During the transaction, about an ounce of cocaine and 35 oxycodone pills were seized.

Lacomb was sentenced by Chief Judge Nancy Torresen at U.S. District Court in Portland.

Lacomb was charged with drug trafficking back in 2013, after police stopped a car he was riding in and seized marijuana, pills, a scale and cash.
