PORTLAND (AP) — The Maine Forest Service says the fire danger statewide on the Fourth of July is high.

Portland officials say they’ve suspended all outdoor burning on Monday. They also remind residents and visitors to use caution when using gas or charcoal grills.

The “high” fire danger rating is two steps below the ratings of “very high” and “extreme.”
