LEBANON — David Franklin “Bibby” Torno, 61, of Lebanon, passed away at his home on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016.

He was born in Sanford on April 21, 1955, a son of Bob Sr. and Elizabeth (Hurd) Torno. David graduated from Sanford High School in 1973. In 1988, he married Ellen Stilphen.

He had been part owner of R&D Suzuki, and had worked for Tilcon. For over 40 years, David had been employed by RD Torno & Sons Paving and Arctic Cat Motorsports in Lebanon. He most recently worked at Southern Maine Tool.

David was a big motorcycle lover. He enjoyed trinkets, grilling, racing motorcycles and snowmobiles, and collecting Pez dispensers. He loved his whole family, and to his nieces and nephews, he was the best uncle.

David is survived by: his wife, Ellen Torno; his parents, Bob Sr. and Elizabeth Torno; a brother, Robert Torno Jr. and wife Celina; four nephews, Ryan Torno, Jashua Torno, Robert Torno IV and Shawn Stilphen; two nieces, Sheri Ritchie and Heather Torno-Roux and husband Chris; brothers-in-law Arthur B. Stilphen III and wife Debra, and Dennis Stilphen and wife Deborah; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of David’s life and a motorcycle ride “The Last Ride” will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, on Center Road in Lebanon.
