CLEARWATER, Fla. — Gerard A. “Gerry” Crepeau, 72, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Biddeford, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2016, at his home.

He was born in Biddeford on Oct. 25, 1943, the son of Maurice and Blanche Hamel Crepeau. He attended school at St. Andre’s in Biddeford.

On Aug. 31, 1963, he married Gabrielle “Gaby” Jacques at St. Joseph’s church in Biddeford. Gaby predeceased him on Dec. 19, 2000.

Gerard spent many years working in the parts and service departments at Crepeau Motors in Biddeford and Kennebunk. He later became the owner of Townhouse Variety in Arundel for several years before retiring. Gerry was able to live out his dream of retirement in Florida, where he enjoyed watching golf and auto racing .

He is survived by: one son, Guy and his wife Rima of Hopedale, Massachusetts; one daughter, Michelle Rokes and her husband Rick of Ipswich, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Danielle, Gerry and Matthew of Hopedale and Katie and Mackenzie of Ipswich; four brothers, Raymond of Florida, and Paul, Donald and Lucien, all of Biddeford; two sisters, Jeannine of Arizona and Lorraine of Florida; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with his family and friends in Maine.
