The Associated Press reported Aug. 25 that Gov. LePage called Khizr Khan, father of a fallen U.S. soldier, a “con artist” in comments during an appearance on a radio talk show.
There is no need to construct a sophisticated argument to respond to this obscenity. LePage has shown himself to be a monster. He is unfit to lead this state and should resign.
To call the Khans great Americans does not elevate them by placing their names alongside the rest of ours. It elevates us by placing our names next to theirs.
