I support the passage of Question 4, the fair wage proposal. The majority of employees working for minimum wage are no longer high school or college students just starting out – most are college graduates, parents and/or seniors.

Henry Ford decided to pay his employees enough to buy the cars they produced. If we believe that America should care about all its citizens, then people need to earn enough to afford to shop in local stores and pay for the minimum of decent shelter, clothing, food and health care.

Voting “yes” on Question 4 is a step in the right direction.
