SACO — Robert Charles Broker, 48, died on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

He was born on March 31, 1968 to Paul Eugene and Alice (Whitehurst) Broker in Biddeford. He graduated from Biddeford High School.

Since 1987, Robert was involved with Community Partners, and through there he worked for many years at Tom’s of Maine. He volunteered at Meals on Wheels, delivering food monthly to seniors in need, Ruth’s Reusable Resources and Ferry Beach State Park. He was a member of the Special Olympics, competing in the softball throw, the broad jump and running. He always looked forward to his annual trip to the White Mountains with his parents. He loved to watch TV, especially wrestling and TV Land, and also loved being outdoors.

His best friends were Scott and Jesse. Often when they were together at Community Partners, they were referred to as The Three Musketeers.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Paul and Alice Broker; and his sister, Paula Broker.

Robert is survived by: two brothers, John Broker and his wife Heidi of Saco, and Donald Broker of Saco; a niece, Jennifer Broker and her significant other Aaron Gile of Gorham; two nephews, Jason Broker of Florida, and Christopher Broker of Saco; two great nieces, Allyah Ellis of Saco, and Alexandra Gile of Gorham; and many friends

A Private burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the clients and staff at Community Partners and Tom’s of Maine.
