Leavitt & Sons, a popular Falmouth deli, will open a second location at 200 Kennebec St., in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood.
Pete Leavitt, owner of the Falmouth deli, which is located on the corner of U.S. Route 1 and Depot Road, leased the Portland space from Northland Enterprises LLC, a commercial real estate developer. The Portland location is at Century Plaza, the former Century Tire property. Century Tire closed in 2014.
“Leavitt’s and Bayside are a perfect match,” Leavitt said in a press release. “I like the visibility there, and the positive energy that is very obvious in that area. Bayside is clearly on the upswing.”
The new deli, which will open later in 2017, joins other businesses that Northland has attracted to the neighborhood, including Chipotle and a T-Mobile retail store.
