It is time for Susan Collins to follow the example of another Mainer, Margaret Chase Smith, and call out Donald Trump and the damage he is doing to our country.
It is time to go above party loyalty and take a stand for the health of our country, just as Margaret Chase Smith did with Joseph McCarthy. She needs to stop soft-pedaling Trump’s dysfunction and total lack of capacity to serve as president of our country.
The emperor has no clothes, and Susan Collins must stand up and state the obvious; she must try to limit the damage he is doing to our country and to the world.
