MORSE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS in the English classes of Johnna and Brian Stanton participated in a poetry slam in the Curtis Room of the Chocolate Church on May 25. Thirteen students performed original works; after three rounds of competition, three students (all seniors) emerged victorious (from left to right): Aliza Johnson (3rd), Emma Hill (2nd), and Aidan Smart (1st). Patten Free Library provided the prizes for the winning poets; each received a Gift of Bath certificate.
