BRUNSWICK

An electric service upgrade taking place on the Lower Mall on Maine Street means four of the food vendors there won’t have power Monday and Tuesday.

Brunswick’s public works director John Foster announced the impending work in case potential customers planned to eat from the vendors on The Mall those days, and in case passersby wonder what happened to the food trucks.

According to Foster, the service being upgraded feeds four of the mall vendors and must be temporarily shut off for two days while the new service is installed.

The four mall vendors impacted by this power outage, Wrappers, Danny’s, Twist-N-Dip and BB’s Grill, have been advised and do not plan to be on the mall for the two days while the work takes place.

Foster said the power panel, located on The Mall across from Everett Street, powers not only the four vendors but some of the decorative street lights and also the traffic light at Pleasant at Maine Street which the town will power with a small generator during the switch over.
