LISBON
The town of Lisbon will host a candidates forum Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the town office, prior to the 7 p.m. town council meeting.
The forum is for contested races only and will only include the School Committee and Water Commission races.
Candidates running for the School Committee are Kimberly Labbe-Poisson, Richard Nadeau and Ross Cunningham.
The two candidates vying for the Water Commission are Arthur McLean and Roger Bickford.
The candidates will each be given the opportunity to provide a one-minute opening statement and then candidates will be asked a series of identical questions. All answers are limited to one minute. Candidates then have one minute to provide a summation.
Members of the audience will then get a chance to ask questions. Audience members are not permitted to make speeches for candidates.
The set of prepared questions candidates will answer include:
• What are your qualifications for the office you seek?
• What motivated you to run for the office you seek?
• Do you have sufficient time/energy to devote to this position?
• With one or two meetings a month, all boards are limited in what they can accomplish, how should the board decide what is most important?
• Think of an issue facing Lisbon that you care about. Do you have a positive solution you want to bring forth?
