Live, silent auctions part of P.A.W.S. event

The P.A.W.S. Auction for the Animals, featuring both a live and a silent auction, a wide variety of appetizers, a carving station and a cash bar, will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Samoset Resort, 220 Warrenton St.

Tickets are $35. To purchase tickets or to view more auction items, go to www.pawsadoption.org. Online bidding will open at 9 p.m. Nov. 28.

Craft fair helps provide families with food, heat

The 10th annual Neighborly Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at North Berwick Elementary School, 25 Varney Road.

The event will feature crafters, baked goods, raffles and a silent auction. Refreshments and lunch will be available.

All proceeds will help assist local families with food and heat this winter. Donations are accepted. Bring a nonperishable food item to receive a free raffle ticket.

‘Tiny Timber’ lighting includes open houses

The annual lighting of “Tiny Timber,” New Gloucester’s holiday tree, will take place at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Town Hall, 385 Intervale Road (Route 231). The event will include holiday music, open houses and refreshments.
