EAST BOOTHBAY — Wanda D. Nolin, age 87, died peacefully and comfortably at Sunnybrook Senior Living in Brunswick on Thursday, November 16, 2017. She previously lived in East Boothbay, Maine. She was born November 19, 1929, in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of John and Katherine (Rzasa) Delekto of Auburn.

She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School class of 1947. She attended Maine School of Commerce in Auburn.

Wanda married Roger Nolin in 1957. She was employed by the Lewiston Sun Journal newspaper for a number of years. Upon moving to the Boothbay region, she worked as an administrative assistant and homemaker. She was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Boothbay and for a time with her husband Roger were leaders of the Family Group Movement there. She was a contributor to many local organizations.

She is predeceased by her two brothers, Andrew and Paul, and three sisters, Rose Wilson, Evelyn Gibson, and Blanche Biker.

Surviving besides her husband Roger residing at Hawthorne House, Freeport, is her son Jeffrey and his wife Sharon and granddaughter Sarah of Derry, N.H., her son Eric of Topsham, ME, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, on Wednesday, November 29 at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Peters Cemetery, Lewiston, Maine, will be at a later date.
