AUGUSTA – With the second regular session of the 128th Maine Legislature just around the corner, State Sen. David Woodsome (R-York) is once again inviting all area students to join him at the State House in Augusta for a day to serve as a page in the Maine Senate.

As a page, students have the opportunity to participate in a legislative session, delivering messages and distributing documents within the Senate Chamber.

“It’s always a pleasure to see young Maine citizens at the Capitol, contributing to the legislative process. The experience creates a lifelong connection to their government,” Woodsome said.

The program, which lasts for one day’s session, is open for students from third grade through high school.

The Maine Legislature schedules pages for each session day, which begins on Wednesday, Jan. 3 and will wrap up on April 18.
