She was born on Jan. 3, 1936 to Theode Z. and Eva (Champagne) Langevin in Biddeford. She attended Biddeford schools. On Sept. 3, 1956 she married Leo R.J. Cote, was married for 28 years and raised four children.
She worked at Pepperell in Biddeford for over 15 years before retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and being able to raise her family. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved spending time at the beach, boating, camping, daily walks, playing cards, sewing and cooking. Her coffee breaks with family always meant a lot to her.
Simone is survived by a daughter Nancy S. Valliere and her husband James of Biddeford; three sons, David L. Cote and his wife Margie of Biddeford, John R. Cote and his wife Deborah of Dayton and Timothy T. Cote of Florida; a daughter-in-law Kirsis Baez-Schlechty of Florida; a sister Aline Verville of Biddeford; three sisters-in-law, Yolande Langevin of Biddeford, Annette Langevin of Arundel and Anita Langevin of Biddeford; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Heather, Lee, Jill, Patrick, Cory, Joshua and Jacob; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Ann; four brothers, Theode Langevin, Paul Langevin, Raymond Langevin and Rene Langevin; a sister, Jeannette Rousseau; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Rousseau and Normand Verville; and a sister-in-law, Rose Langevin.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 120 West St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Simone’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 383 US Route One #2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
